Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Next Horizon, you will work onsite in our hospital's rehabilitation unit, providing direct care to patients. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in executing individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each patient.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, ensuring proper technique to promote pain relief and enhance physical health.
• Educate patients about body mechanics and home exercise programs to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, following the therapist's guidance.
• Monitor patient progress through documenting outcomes such as range of motion improvements and strength gains, playing a key role in adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain treatment areas by organizing equipment and ensuring that all supplies are readily available for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate actively with the healthcare team to ensure cohesive care for patients, contributing to more impactful recovery outcomes.
• Support patients emotionally throughout their rehabilitation, fostering a positive environment that encourages perseverance and resilience.
• Adhere strictly to ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Completed an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Possession of a valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience working in a rehabilitation clinic or hospital setting is preferred. Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is between USD 50,000 and 65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
