Position Summary The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for managing direct sales, marketing activities, business development, distributor sales, and promoting the product and service vision for the Americas region from both a strategic and tactical perspective. The Americas region covers the US, Canada, and LATAM. This role will be pivotal in shaping our growth trajectory. In addition to driving Sales and Marketing initiatives, the role will be instrumental in growing our existing business and establishing a product/service portfolio for MP Bio to become a strong brand in multiple scientific markets. Responsibilities Lead sales and marketing teams to develop MP Bio’s competitive edge on catalog and non-catalog products. Responsible for ensuring that sales, business development, and distributor sales goals for Americas region are met. Manage the achievement of strategic objectives defined by company management. Create strategic and tactical sales and marketing plans, including individual and team goal setting, on an annual basis. Perform sales and marketing forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes. Collaborate and align with Product Group Managers on sales and marketing needs. Coordinate sales activities with marketing department to ensure alignment and cooperation between all functional areas. Continuously improve MP Biomedicals brand awareness. Determine which marketing channels to optimize. Create and implement promotional activities. Managing support functions essential to sales force productivity. These include planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, sales training, program implementation, and recruiting and selection of sales force talent. Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement. Work closely with direct reports to review processes and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Train and empower the sales and marketing team to make proactive decisions in all their communications with clients. Assess the competitive landscape and institute timely changes to the sales strategy and approach in response to market trends. Coordinate training delivery to sales teams and support staff as required to enhance skillsets and promote continuous development and improvement. Direct and support the consistent implementation of company initiatives in a timely manner ensuring understanding and compliance. Work with distributors, both domestic and international, through channel management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop processes, campaigns, and resources that meet ISO standards and ensure customer satisfaction. Work with executive leadership and global team to create and execute IPO strategy. Cross-train across related functions to ensure operational flexibility and team coverage. Maintain a foundational understanding of this position and other similar roles to provide support during staff absences, peak demand, or special projects.
