Job Responsibilities
At Kershaw Maintenance, serves as the receptionist. Answers phones in a courteous and professional manner, routing calls to appropriate persons. Takes messages and work order complaints for road damage and repair. Greets and assists the public, city/county officials, etc. Operates a computer using Excel, Word, and Highway Maintenance Management System (HMMS). Operates a two way radio relaying and recieving messages from road crews to repair shop and the office staff. Records all vehicle trip logs for Kershaw Maintenance. Assist time administrator in checking daily time and leave for each crew. Serves as Procurement Card Liaison for the shop clerk, lead mechanic and shop supervisor.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma. Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required. The physical demands for the essential functions of this position include sitting or standing at a desk for extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside of normal work schedule, especially during inclement weather and/or other departmental-related emergencies. Additional Comments
May be required to work overtime, nighttime, and/or weekends during hazardous weather or emergencies.
