Regional Director of Cardiology at WVU Heart and Vascular Institute

4-Site Leadership Role | Academic Appointment | Proximity to DC and Northern Virginia

 

The WVU Heart and Vascular Institute is looking for an experienced cardiologist ready to step into a regional leadership role with genuine statewide impact. This is not an administrative title attached to a clinical role. It is a purposeful leadership position overseeing cardiology services across four sites in Eastern West Virginia, with the institutional backing of one of the state's most respected cardiovascular programs behind you.

 

About the Position:

 

• Oversee cardiology services across four clinical sites in the Eastern Panhandle and the surrounding region
• Collaborate with on-site administrative leadership to guide the expansion and development of cardiology services
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows within an academic medical environment
• Practice alongside a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, non-invasive cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular specialists
• Influence cardiovascular care delivery in a region with meaningful unmet needs

 

Qualifications:

 

• Board Certified in Cardiology
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience; leadership experience strongly preferred
• Active West Virginia medical license or ability to obtain one
• Ability to obtain DEA and controlled substance licenses
