Hybrid Billing Specialist - Submetering & Accounts

Billing Specialist Location: Boca Raton, FL. (Hybrid) Industry: Utility Submetering / Multifamily & Commercial Billing Services Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 + bonus potential Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Billing Specialist to support and grow client relationships within our utility submetering business. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical billing knowledge with a relationship-driven account management approach. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted point of contact for property managers, owners, and operators, helping clients navigate utility billing processes, resolve account issues, interpret meter data, and ensure accurate invoicing. NetSuite experience is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of multifamily and commercial utility billing accounts Serve as the primary customer contact for billing questions, disputes, adjustments, and account support Analyze utility billing data including water, sewer, gas, electric, and submeter readings Investigate billing discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with internal operations and meter teams Explain billing methodologies, RUBS calculations, rate structures, and utility charges to customers Maintain strong ongoing relationships with property managers and ownership groups Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts Coordinate onboarding of new properties and billing transitions Ensure billing accuracy, timely invoicing, and customer satisfaction Work cross-functionally with operations, customer support, accounting, and field services Maintain detailed account documentation within CRM and NetSuite Support collections and payment issue resolution when necessary Qualifications 3+ years of experience in utility billing, submetering, property management accounting, or related customer-facing billing environments Strong understanding of utility invoices, meter data, rate structures, and billing calculations Experience working directly with clients in a service-oriented or account management capacity Ability to explain technical billing information clearly to non-technical customers Strong Excel and data analysis skills Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Creative Financial Staffing, LLC
