The expected working hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Evaluate clients through thorough assessments to determine the severity and frequency of their mood disorder symptoms, such as depression and anxiety.

• Work collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique goals, preferences, and circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and strategies for effective self-care.

• Regularly monitor client progress within a structured treatment plan, making necessary adjustments to address evolving needs.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care for better patient outcomes.

• Remain abreast of the latest research in mood disorders to continually refine and enhance treatment methodologies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. By offering empathetic, personalized, and evidence-based care, you will play an integral role in their recovery journeys. Understanding cultural sensitivity and addressing the diverse backgrounds of our clientele is key to delivering effective therapy.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in any of the following fields from an accredited institution: Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or as a Licensed Psychologist/Psychoanalyst within the state of New York.

• Demonstrated expertise in utilizing evidence-based treatments, particularly for mood disorders.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to form a therapeutic alliance with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
