Our practice operates Monday through Friday during typical business hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a structured schedule that respects your personal time.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients, focusing on the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms associated with mood disorders.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, taking into account their unique goals and individual circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders effectively.

• Provide clients and their families with education and resources about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor and evaluate clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to their care plans.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment and integrated care.
\n
• Stay current with research trends and advancements in mental health treatment, applying this knowledge to improve therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in alignment with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, administrative responsibilities, and case consultations to improve service delivery and team cohesion.

• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness and reducing stigma surrounding mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with individuals dealing with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Clients will vary widely in terms of age, background, and experiences, requiring a therapist who is adaptable and capable of fostering genuine connections with a diverse range of individuals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• A current, valid professional license such as LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of New York is mandatory.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment practices for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Strong foundational knowledge of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists.

• Demonstrated success in achieving positive treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
