Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to understand the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.

• Collaboratively create and implement tailored treatment plans that align with clients' individual goals, preferences, and needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and practical self-care techniques to empower them in their mental health journey.

• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as deemed necessary to optimize effectiveness.

• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each client’s treatment.

• Stay current on the latest trends and research methods in the mental health field, particularly concerning mood disorders.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all client information is accurately recorded.

• Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance your clinical competencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the State of New York.

• Proven expertise in evidence-based treatments for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• Strong working knowledge of psychopharmacology, enabling effective collaboration with psychiatrists and medical staff.

• Demonstrable success in implementing treatment strategies that lead to positive outcomes for clients.

• Excellent communication abilities and a commitment to building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
