Senior Associate Family Law Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Family Law Attorney in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will be an experienced attorney eager to influence the department's direction while maintaining a balanced work-life schedule. Duties Manage a caseload of family law matters. Provide strategic guidance on complex cases and litigation. Mentor junior attorneys and legal paraprofessionals. Review pleadings, motions, discovery, and substantive work product. Assist with hiring, training, and development of the family law team. Help improve systems, workflows, efficiency, and client experience. Work with firm leadership to shape the growth and direction of the department. Requirements Active license to practice law in Arizona and membership in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona. Minimum of three years of Arizona family law experience, including litigation. Strong knowledge of the Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure, Arizona Revised Statutes, and local court rules. Experience managing a family law caseload independently from initial consultation through resolution. Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. Exceptional client service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Spanish language proficiency is preferred, but not required. Education 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position. Certifications Active Member of the Arizona State Bar. Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association). Skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations.
