Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations for clients suffering from mood disorders, assessing the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective therapy sessions.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and engagement in the treatment process.

• Monitor client progress consistently and refine treatment approaches based on their evolving needs.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to care.

• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in mood disorders to continuously enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain confidential documentation following legal and ethical standards to track client interactions and treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients dealing with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will engage with a variety of individuals, including those from marginalized communities such as the homeless, refugees, and domestic abuse survivors, ensuring that treatment is sensitive to their specific circumstances and cultural contexts.

Qualifications\n

• Active and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with your qualifications and professional experience.
