Operating Systems Engineer

The Operating Systems Engineer is an entry-level engineering professional responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, and improvement of products and systems. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and engineering management, this position applies engineering principles to solve technical challenges, prepare engineering documentation, perform calculations, and support manufacturing and field operations. Technical CompetenciesBasic understanding of machine design and mechanical engineering principles.Knowledge of drafting standards and engineering documentation practices.Ability to utilize CAD software for part and assembly modeling.Familiarity with BOM management and engineering change processes.Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.Ability to perform engineering calculations using Microsoft Excel and Mathcad.Basic understanding of tolerance analysis and design verification methods.Familiarity with FEA concepts and engineering testing methodologies.Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems is a plus.Assist in conducting research and analysis to support ongoing engineering projects.Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and test prototypes or models.Prepare failure reports and analyze information to include root cause.
