Accounts Payable Specialist II

The anticipated closing date of this job post is 9/14/2026.JOB SUMMARY (the purpose and general nature of the job):Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following:Process supplier invoices and credits, match purchase orders and receipts to invoices.Code expense invoices, obtain and verify invoice approvals, enter supplier down payment invoices.Resolve invoice discrepancies.Review and reconcile supplier statements.Correspond with suppliers and respond to inquiries.Assists with accrualsOther duties and special projects as assigned.KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience:Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required as well as a bachelor’s degree is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.Experience:Minimum of 2+ years accounts payable experience.Skills:Proficient in data entry.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.Communication skills to interact professionally and effectively with management, suppliers and co-workers.Intermediate skill level in Excel.General knowledge of accounting procedures.PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:Work schedule generally consists of 40 hours per week, which may include on-call status, evenings, and/or weekends.This position description has been prepared to assist in defining job responsibilities, physical demands, working conditions and skills needed.
