Are you passionate about hospitality and love providing excellent service with a smile? Join our team at The Strand Cafe in The Canopy by Hilton downtown Ithaca.
We're currently looking for friendly, dependable, and energetic Bartenders to join our on-site restaurant team. As a bartender, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for hotel guests and locals alike, delivering exceptional service from behind the bar.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner and create a welcoming bar environment
- Maintain full knowledge of drink menus, specials, and hotel offerings
- Monitor guest satisfaction and provide attentive, personalized service
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
- Handle payment transactions and follow cash-handling procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen and hotel staff to ensure smooth service
What We're Looking For:
- Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- A positive attitude and genuine desire to make guests feel welcome
- Must meet legal requirements for serving alcohol in New York State
