Accounting Specialist

This position will be responsible for performing key accounting functions related to the monthly close process, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities, including entering journal entries and maintaining supporting documentation. Assist with loan funding and closing processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of financing transactions. Maintain fixed asset records for both book and tax purposes, including depreciation calculations. Handle sales tax filings for applicable jurisdictions. Assist with preparation of year-end audit documentation. Maintain organized accounting files and documentation. Assist senior management with other projects as required. QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressive accounting experience required. Working knowledge of general accounting principles. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
