Immigration Paralegal

We are a well-established, mid-sized law firm in Newark, NJ with a strong, sophisticated business immigration practice seeking an experienced Business Immigration Paralegal to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive professional who enjoys managing complex matters independently and thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of experience in employment-based immigration matters, including significant hands‑on experience with PERM filings , as well as preparing a variety of petitions and applications submitted to USCIS and DOL . We are looking for someone who demonstrates both initiative and reliability, with the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy, professionalism, and client service. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of employment-based immigration matters with minimal supervision. Communicate directly and professionally with corporate clients regarding case status, requirements, and strategy. Prepare and organize H-1B petitions, supporting documents, and related filings for review by supervising attorneys. Draft and file forms and documents with DOL (including ETA Forms 9141 and 9035), and other government agencies as required. Coordinate and monitor PERM recruitment processes and related timelines. Identify and elevate legal or procedural issues to supervising attorneys when appropriate. Participate in firm initiatives related to the integration of legal technology and process improvements, including AI tools, Excel, and legal research platforms. Self-starter with the ability to work independently while remaining responsive to firm and client needs. Professionalism and discretion when interacting with firm clients, including high-level corporate representatives. Comfortable working in a hybrid office environment; fully remote work is not available. Preferred Skills Experience with LawLogix case management system .
