Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using a blend of standardized measures and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies aimed at fulfilling both immediate objectives and enduring communication or swallowing needs.
• Implement targeted speech therapy interventions that encompass a spectrum of areas including communication, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage in teamwork with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to craft unified care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage progress and understanding outside of therapy sessions.
• Occasionally contribute to inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring comprehensive care throughout the therapeutic timeline.
• Maintain clear and precise documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Advance your expertise by staying up-to-date with the latest trends and research in the field through ongoing education and collaborative learning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still in the process of obtaining ASHA certification.

Required Certifications

• Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred holding of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the initial 30 days of employment.
