They thrive in a collaborative environment, build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues, and are committed to delivering exceptional service while upholding Sodoma Law's core values.**How You’ll Contribute*** Support attorneys throughout all phases of family law matters by coordinating case activity, tracking deadlines, maintaining case files, and helping ensure matters move forward efficiently.* Draft, review, file, and serve a variety of legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, financial affidavits, and discovery materials while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.* Assist with the collection, review, organization, and analysis of discovery, financial records, and case-related information to support legal strategy and case preparation.* Serve as a key point of contact for clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and third parties by facilitating communication, gathering information, and providing exceptional client service throughout the legal process.* Prepare exhibits, notebooks, financial summaries, child support calculations, and other materials necessary for hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings.* Manage calendars, monitor deadlines, maintain case files, and coordinate case activity in accordance with applicable court rules, local county procedures, and filing requirements to ensure matters progress efficiently and accurately.* Maintain accurate time entries, case records, and matter-related activities in accordance with firm policies and procedures.* Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of the office, including front desk coverage, mail management, staff onboarding support, and process improvement initiatives.## Qualifications**What Sets You Up for Success*** 2+ years of family law paralegal experience; significant litigation experience may be considered in lieu of family law experience.* Knowledge of family law procedures, court processes, and Mecklenburg County Local Rules.* Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other family law documents.* Experience managing litigation calendars, court deadlines, hearings, mediations, and related case events.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)* Experience meeting billable time expectations and maintaining accurate time records preferred.* Experience with legal technology platforms, including NetDocuments and Cosmolex, preferred.* North Carolina Notary Public commission preferred.**Why People Join Sodoma Law**At Sodoma Law, we approach our work differently.
