Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a knowledgeable Community Pharmacist to provide exceptional pharmacy services within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting utilizing a 340B program. This position supports patient care through accurate prescription processing and personalized medication counseling, primarily serving a diverse, Spanish-speaking community.

Location: Newark, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Contract Duration: November 2nd to November 14th (short-term coverage)
Pharmacy System: MicroMerchant / PrimeRx

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications in a community pharmacy setting
• Counsel patients on medication usage, adherence, and potential side effects
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize pharmacy services under the 340B program
• Manage inventory and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations
• Serve a bilingual patient population, providing culturally competent care

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Pharmacist license required
• Experience in community or retail pharmacy environments essential
• Familiarity with FQHC or 340B pharmacy operations is a plus
• Bilingual skills, particularly Spanish, highly preferred due to patient demographics
• Experience with MicroMerchant or PrimeRx pharmacy systems beneficial but not mandatory

This is a contract role intended to provide coverage during a critical time frame, ideal for pharmacists who can start promptly. Fluency in Spanish will enhance your ability to engage effectively with patients, creating a more impactful healthcare experience.
