Specialist, Children's Services

Job Title

Under the direction of the Director of Children's Services, this position is responsible for providing administrative support, coordination of Early Intervention (EI) services and (EI) billing associated responsibilities, including assisting with reconciliation of billing and payments to the Early Intervention Program. This position will also support the Smart Start Readiness Program as requested or needed. This position is responsible for assisting assigned staff in preparing correspondence, billing, copying, filing and distributing reports, coordinating departmental activities, and meetings, and completing special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of an associate's degree in business, management or completion of a secretarial/administrative program in a business school. Minimum of two years administrative experience in a fast-paced environment. Must have superior organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks in an efficient and effective manner. Excellent computer skills a must to include Microsoft Products including Word, PPT and Excel. Knowledge of Therap Services System preferred. Superior interpersonal skills, oral and written communication staff reporting responsibilities and skills and the ability to complete assignments in an independent manner are essential. This position does not have staff reporting responsibilities and functions under direct supervision and instruction from the Director, Early Intervention and Smart Start Program Services.

The incumbent must be proficient with basic math and technology. The incumbent must also be able to problem solve and be flexible to respond to environmental and programmatic changes in order to best support children served. Must be able to handle multiple tasks in an efficient and effective manner within a fast-paced environment. A strong initiative, creative approach to responsibilities and ability to work independently with accountability necessary.
