About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year Medical Surgical experience License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS required and not expiring within 30 days of start Must-Have: EPIC required Description: 13-week contract available. Valid RN license required. BLS certification required and must not expire within 30 days of start. Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical experience is required. Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory. The unit handles orthopedic diagnoses with medical overflow. Floating within the scope of care and practice is required. Full contract length must be completed. Ratio of 1 nurse to 5-6 patients. Local candidates will not be considered. May be required to float to a nearby facility as needed. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 40 patients. Special procedures include elective hips, knees, shoulders, and spine surgeries. No titrating drips are administered except for heparin. Travelers with only one DUI on record may be considered if the incident occurred over one year ago. Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.
