Key Responsibilities

Property Accounting & Transaction Support

• Maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of properties
• Process payables, receivables, and day-to-day accounting transactions
• Review and code vendor invoices; monitor payment activity
• Support tenant billing cycles, rent collections, and reconciliation of operating expenses

General Ledger & Financial Accuracy

• Assist with general ledger maintenance and supporting schedules
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Track operating costs and ensure proper expense classifications
• Maintain organized and audit-ready financial documentation

Reporting & Close Process

• Support preparation of monthly financial packages and variance analysis
• Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assist with month-end close procedures across assigned properties
• Monitor budget-to-actual performance and highlight variances

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Partner with property management and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Interface with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding billing and documentation
• Maintain organized lease files and accounting records

Qualifications Required

• 2-3+ years of experience in real estate or construction environments
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency with Excel and standard business software tools
• Effective communication skills and ability to work across teams
• Comfortable in a lean, fast-paced setting with evolving priorities
• Experience with property management or accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Familiarity with lease structures and operating expense reconciliations
