Job Title: Physician – Physician - Department of Neurology, Epilepsy (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Department: The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center. Position Overview The Division of Epilepsy within the Department of Neurology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks to hire an epileptologist who is board-eligible or certified in Neurology and Epilepsy. Expertise is required in acute, chronic and tertiary care of epilepsy patients, EEG interpretation, electrocorticography, and evaluation of patients for epilepsy surgery, including stereo EEG, intra and extraoperative functional brain mapping and neurostimulation (VNS/RNS/DBS), both in implantable devices and in managing the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Applicants must have an MD or DO equivalent degree. Dedicated clinical/administrative and nursing support is available. Department/Division Overview The Department of Neurology at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center consists of 15 specialized divisions and supports interdisciplinary care. Division Overview The Division of Epilepsy includes 7 physicians, 3 APPs, 3 epilepsy nurses, and 1‑2 fellows each year. The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center is accredited as a level 4 epilepsy center and offers outpatient clinics, EEG, EMU, and continuous video EEG monitoring. It also provides functional seizures, neurostimulation, women's epilepsy, and surgery clinics. Duties and Responsibilities Teach medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees at all levels in clinical neurology and epileptology. Provide outpatient epilepsy clinic care, EEG/ICU reading, and EMU service. Requirements Board‑eligible or certified in Neurology and Epilepsy.
