Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a healthcare facility located in North Austin. This position involves providing care in a high-volume, Level IV unit specializing in obstetric and neonatal services. The assignment is for 12-hour night shifts with a focus on supporting delivery procedures, patient monitoring, and ensuring safety for mothers and infants during a busy peak period. Job Details Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). Candidates must have a minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery, with proficiency in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), C-Section circulation, and SVE competency. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a Level IV high-volume unit, internal monitor placement competency, and prior HCA assignment/employment are desirable. Additional Information: This is a 6-week assignment requiring readiness for over 1,000 deliveries per month, with no call requirement and alternating weekend shifts. The unit has approximately 32 beds, staffed with a team of 150, including charge nurses and RNs, utilizing equipment such as Novii, JADA, fetal pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound. The dress code specifies solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts, and navy blue scrubs.
