Accounting Manager

Segrera Associates is recruiting an Accounting Manager on behalf of a well-established organization in the Orlando, FL area. This company has a long-standing presence within its industry and is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee day-to-day accounting operations while partnering closely with senior finance leadership. This role is fully on-site in the Orlando, FL area. Candidates must be local to the region or willing to relocate. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals across general accounting, AP, AR, and cost accounting functions. Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close. Manage financial reporting activities and ensure financial information is complete and accurate. Review account reconciliations, aging reports, journal entries, and other key accounting schedules. Maintain and strengthen accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls. Partner closely with the Controller and other business leaders on accounting and operational initiatives. Support external audits, including preparation of schedules and coordination of audit requests. Analyze financial information and provide reporting to management and external stakeholders. Assist with treasury, payroll, and other accounting-related processes as needed. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall accounting processes. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years of leadership/management experience. Experience within manufacturing, retail, or distribution environments required. Strong understanding of general accounting, debits/credits, aging reports, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Solid knowledge of month-end/year-end close and US GAAP reporting. Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel skills. Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams while working cross-functionally. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. #J-18808-Ljbffr Segrera Associates
