The firm specializes in fact-based commercial, market, and operational due diligence; actionable growth strategy development; and operational improvement execution — all with the speed and precision that PE sponsors and their portfolio companies require.The Vice President, Strategy role is a senior client-facing position that leads consulting engagements from origination through delivery. VPs at JW Michaels manage project teams consisting of Associates, Business Analysts, senior operating executives, and client resources, and are accountable for all aspects of project delivery within the tight timeframes that define private equity due diligence and value creation work.The firm works with leading private equity firms across a range of deal types — buy-side due diligence, portfolio company growth strategy, commercial assessment, and operational transformation. VPs develop deep sector knowledge and build lasting relationships with PE sponsors and senior management teams at portfolio companies.This is an entrepreneurial environment that values initiative, analytical rigor, and the ability to synthesize complex business situations into clear, actionable recommendations. Team members gain exposure to a wide range of industries and deal structures while working shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced operators and PE investment professionals.Ideal candidates will have prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a strategic role within a PE-backed company, combined with strong analytical skills and the ability to lead teams effectively under deadline pressure.
