We are based in Austin and have been named the Best Restaurant to Work for three times and have finished in the Top 25 Businesses Overall to Work for by the Austin Business Journal.We are looking for a dynamic Staff Accountant. This position will work closely with and report directly to the VP of Accounting & Finance. This position is a very hands-on position that will play an important role in the accounting and finance process.Responsibilities:Assists with monthly, quarterly, and yearly close procedures.Prepares and maintains journal entries and general ledger.Assists with account reconciliations.Handles monthly bank reconciliations.Reconciles 3rd party delivery payments.Handles company accounts receivable.Maintains company fixed asset tracking and depreciation.Assists in various projects and audits as assigned by the VP of Accounting and Finance.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a retail/restaurant environment preferred.Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger), preferably in a multi-unit retail/restaurant environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and proven ability to organize data efficiently.Ability to multi-task, adhere to tight deadlines and be self-disciplined.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).Hours and Work Environment:Full-time, additional hours required during peak and busy seasons.Position will be based 100% in our corporate office in downtown Austin (this is not a remote position).Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 /yr depending on experience.
