Community Engagement Specialist

Responsibilities Work collaboratively with community and partner organizations to meet customer needs, particularly in areas relevant to the program emphasis. Represent the company in discussions, planning processes, continuous improvement processes, and special initiatives as designated by the Project Director. Facilitate operational and tactical connections with partner organizations and program staff to improve or scale existing resources available to WIOA‑enrolled customers, ensuring intentional relationship‑building with community and other stakeholders. Demonstrate strong business acumen. Deliver polished presentation skills. Play a leadership role in communication efforts and initiatives—including traditional and social marketing channels—to promote the regional brand and increase the impact of outreach, marketing, and customer engagement. Assist with the coordination of special events at American Job Centers (AJC) or in the community relevant to improving performance outcomes. Build and improve pipelines for customers to American Job Centers. Enhance community awareness of and engagement with available services and resources. Maintain accurate and thorough completion of required documentation and reports. Approach each day and task with a solutions‑oriented and responsive mindset. Perform other duties and programs as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations, community organization, or development. Minimum of 3 years of experience in business, marketing, public relations, education, human and/or workforce development services. Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient in maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Knowledge of the local region and relevant partners (preferred). Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base and be culturally sensitive. Sharp attention to detail with strong organizational, analytical, research, and critical‑thinking skills. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), PowerPoint, Canva, Google Suite, and case‑management or customer‑relations software applications. Exceptional time‑management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A valid driver’s license. Additional Skills and Knowledge Desired Master’s or MBA degree. Knowledge of the local region and relevant partners. Astounding ability to multitask and be proactive. Salary and Benefits Salary: $52,000 – $54,500 per year. Includes a competitive benefits package with healthcare, dental, and paid vacation. Travel Travel is primarily limited to necessary trips within Snohomish County to support community engagement.
