Transportation Coordinator – Night Shifts

Location: Springdale, AR
Duration: 12 Months - Contract [NO BENEFITS] 
Schedule: Primarily nights and weekends; exact days and hours may vary

Schedule Examples

• Sunday–Wednesday: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
• Wednesday–Saturday: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
• Sunday–Thursday: 6:00 PM–2:00 AM

Position Overview

The Transportation Coordinator will support day-to-day truck and driver transportation operations, ensuring efficient coordination of drivers, routes, equipment, schedules, and service requirements.

The role requires strong communication and coordination skills, with frequent interaction across transportation, maintenance, safety, training, HR, planning, customer service, and other operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day truck and driver transportation operations .
• Coordinate with drivers to ensure routes, schedules, and transportation activities run smoothly.
• Monitor transportation activities and address operational issues as they arise.
• Work closely with Maintenance to coordinate the resolution of truck and equipment issues.
• Coordinate with Driver Training and Safety teams to promote compliance with established procedures and safety requirements.
• Work with HR and Planning teams regarding staffing, scheduling, and operational requirements.
• Communicate with customer service teams and internal/external customers to resolve transportation and service-related issues.
• Coordinate information and activities between multiple departments to maintain smooth operations.
• Monitor transportation performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and service levels.
• Support dispatch, route coordination, driver communication, and day-to-day transportation planning.
• Maintain accurate operational information using Microsoft Office and computer-based systems .
• Escalate significant operational, safety, equipment, or service issues to the appropriate teams.
• Perform other transportation coordination and operational support duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in fleet or transportation operations .
• Experience with driver management or supervision .
• Background in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations .
• Experience with dispatch and route coordination .
• Knowledge of transportation safety and compliance requirements.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based operational systems .
• Ability to work effectively during night shifts, weekends, and changing schedules .
