Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity awaits those passionate about supporting children’s communication growth. This school-based Speech-Language Pathologist position starts in August and runs through June 2026. Serving students in grades K-2, you'll work in an engaging elementary environment and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams. The caseload involves approximately 46 Speech-Only students along with 36 students receiving speech in addition to other services. Support is shared for students in the life-skills program, which lightens the overall caseload.

Key requirements and experience:

• Valid Texas SLP license required
• Previous school-based SLP experience preferred but not mandatory
• Strong assessment, therapy, and IEP writing skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families
• Organized and flexible, with a student-centered approach
• Willingness to travel between assignments when necessary (paid travel time; inquire about mileage eligibility)

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting assessments and implementing therapy for diverse student needs
• Developing, maintaining, and reviewing IEPs
• Providing direct speech and language intervention to K-2 students
• Documenting progress and collaborating with educators and related service professionals
• Participating in student support meetings and sharing recommendations
• Maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
