Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for working with elementary-aged students. This position starts in August and runs through June 2026, providing dedicated service at the K-2 level within a supportive educational environment. You'll work at a single elementary campus and join a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality therapy and assessment services for children in need.

As a valued member of the special education department, you'll foster communication development and advocate for each child’s unique needs. With a caseload comprising 46 Speech-Only students and 36 requiring speech plus other services, there is collaboration in place to ensure manageable workloads and comprehensive support.

What we’re looking for:

• Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Texas (SLP TX)
• Experience or enthusiasm for working in a K-2 or elementary school environment
• Strong assessment, therapy, and IEP writing skills
• Ability to work both independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team
• Organizational skills and flexibility for balancing itinerant responsibilities if needed
• Responsive, compassionate communication with students, educators, and families

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting speech-language assessments and providing therapy for students on your caseload
• Developing and updating IEPs in collaboration with special education staff and families
• Monitoring student progress and documenting outcomes according to district and regulatory standards
• Facilitating consultative support for other educators and participating in team meetings as appropriate
• Receiving paid travel time between campuses; mileage details pending clarification
