Work Environment

The role is performed onsite in our outpatient office, where physical therapists engage directly with patients in a well-equipped clinical setting. Our modern facility is designed to support the rehabilitation process, featuring state-of-the-art technology and resources tailored for orthopedic physical therapy. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Take on the critical task of evaluating, developing, and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for patients facing functional limitations or disabilities due to various conditions.
• Conduct thorough assessments, including taking pertinent medical histories, performing clinical evaluations, and formulating actionable recommendations.
• Implement and modify treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and individual patient conditions, demonstrating flexibility in response to evolving healthcare needs.
• Consult with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care, identifying when changes to patient care plans are necessary and documenting these instances meticulously.
• Complete necessary discharge planning and follow-up care, including detailed documentation that encompasses all aspects of the patient's journey through therapy—from initial evaluation to discharge.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations as well as company training, ensuring all clinical services adhere to established standards.
• Actively participate in facility meetings and team efforts aimed at removing barriers to patient access to care, supporting initiatives like Access NRH.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions, ranging from sports injuries to post-operative recovery. Our clients include individuals of diverse backgrounds, ages, and health conditions, all of whom will benefit from your expertise in physical therapy. Your role will involve not just treating these patients, but also helping them regain function, manage pain, and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is essential.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Virginia Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is required to ensure familiarity with the specific demands and workflows pertinent to this role.
• Current CPR certification is necessary for maintaining patient safety and emergency responsiveness.

Preferred Experience

While we require at least two years of direct clinical experience in outpatient therapy, candidates with advanced certifications in specialized areas of physical therapy, such as orthopedics or sports medicine, will be given preference. Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and billing is also beneficial in improving efficiency and accuracy in patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
