About the Role:
Join our dynamic team at Weinstein & Formanek PC, CPAs as a Bookkeeper in Mamaroneck, NY. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our clients' financial success while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for multiple clients.
Prepare and process monthly financial statements and reports.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings.
Support year-end closing processes and audits.
Communicate regularly with clients regarding their financial status.
Utilize accounting software to streamline bookkeeping tasks.
Requirements:
5+ years experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Bank recs, data entry, sales tax.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
Professional demeanor and commitment to client confidentiality.
