Sr. Accountant

Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant reports to the Assistant Controller and provides a wide range of accounting support including balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, journal entries and month-end close related duties. This position also performs complex technical accounting activities and financial analyses. Although this position is generally subject to moderate direct supervision, a degree of creativity, latitude and independent problem-solving is expected.ResponsibilitiesPreparation and review of monthly internal and external reports including quarterly debt covenant certificates provided to various lenders.Research and analyze technical positions and compliance efforts related to GAAP, including the implementation of new policies and standards.Maintain adequate knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting aspects tied to specific balance sheet accounts and cash flow. Responsible for preparing monthly statement of cash flow.Set up and maintain the COA, account mapping, and reporting structure for consistency and completeness and in accordance with GAAP.Responsible for a wide range of month-end close related responsibilities and monthly balance sheet reconciliations including but not limited to the warranty receivable transactions and revenue recognition compliance.Analyze complex financial information and provide recommendations to Management on opportunities to improve profits and reduce business risk. Responsible for the quarterly balance sheet flux analysis and monthly corporate overhead analysis.Perform ad-hoc research and projects as needed. Rely on professional experience and judgement to assess risk and pursue accounting issues independently. Resolve or report to management as needed. Be able to write technical memos as needed.Review debt, lease and other agreements for accounting considerations. Report to management and/or write-up summary of impacts as needed.Interface with external audit teams and assist with overall administration of the company's external auditsProvide excellent customer service to cross functional members of the TEC Team.Support cycle of continuous improvement in process and controls.
