Veterinary Technician - Radiology

Garden State Veterinary Specialists – Full-time X-Ray/Radiology Technician A full-time X-Ray/Radiology technician is needed to manage radiographs for emergency and specialty cases, with opportunity to train on CT. About GSVS We are a multispecialty practice with board-certified specialists in Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Dermatology, Cardiology, Rehabilitation, and Ophthalmology. Responsibilities Oversee patients that require radiographs in both emergency and specialty Safely prepare and position patients for radiographs Attend to patients’ needs during imaging Provide empathy, comfort, and nursing care; serve as patient advocate during hospitalization Maintain all equipment on a per-use basis, ensuring safety and best practice care of all patients Qualifications At least 1 year experience as a veterinary technician Comfortable taking direction from doctors and technicians Updated knowledge of radiation protection and safety Prioritize patients depending on severity and time of admit Comprehensive understanding of different radiograph techniques Strong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude required Positive outlook and ability to work in a collaborative environment, committed to long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community Excellent communication and organizational skills required Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun Schedule 4‑day schedule including one weekend day, 8 AM – 7 PM.
