This role is responsible for obtaining patient histories, performing neurological assessments, assisting neurologists during appointments and procedures, coordinating advanced imaging and diagnostic testing, educating clients on treatment plans and medications, and ensuring seamless patient care throughout the outpatient experience. The technician serves as a key liaison between clients, referring veterinarians, and the neurology team while maintaining accurate medical records and delivering exceptional patient care and client service. Responsibilities Technical skills: venipuncture, blood draw, placing IV catheter, lab sample collection Admitting and discharging MRI and surgical cases. Dispensing medications directed by veterinarian. Assisting doctor with outpatient appointments, consults and rechecks. Ability to multitask in fast paced environment with a positive attitude. Calculate drug dosages (IV, IM and SQ) of any pre-induction medications, and administering the same. Professional client communication. Qualifications LVT, CVT, or RVT credential preferred. Three years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a veterinary hospital. Previous experience working in an emergency or specialty veterinary hospital preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with computers, electronic medical records, and data entry. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency and critical care environment. Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) required. RECOVER CPR certification a plus.
