Teletherapy School Psychologist in LA

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time opportunity is available for a licensed School Psychologist specializing in telehealth services to support students within a school setting in the New Orleans area. This role involves delivering remote psychological services for a school district, with assignment details such as schools and caseload to be determined based on district needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide telehealth psychological assessments, consultation, and interventions for students.
Collaborate with educators and families to support student learning and behavioral health.
Maintain accurate records and comply with district and licensing requirements.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development.
Adhere to confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines in school psychology services.

Qualifications:

Active Louisiana Department of Education certification.
Valid psychological license in the state of residence.
Experience with delivering telehealth psychological services preferred.
Ability to complete drug screening and fingerprinting as required by the district.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Capacity to work 35 hours per week (7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday, following the school calendar.

Location:

Harvey, LA (New Orleans metropolitan area). This is a telehealth-based role supporting local schools.

Assignment Period:

August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027.

This contract position allows for professional engagement in a dynamic educational environment supporting diverse student populations. The selection process includes an internal prescreening with typically same-day decision-making to ensure a prompt placement.
