Speech-Language Pathologist

Schedule: Days, 8 hours, Monday to Friday; times are flexible as long as consistent and communicated with the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR).

Assignment Details:

Requirements:

• 1 year of SLP experience (Required)
• LTC or Rehab experience (Required)
• MO State License (Required)
• CCC certified SLP (Required)
• 3 years experience holding active CCS (Preferred)
• Must submit one reference at the time of submission

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Effectively screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement appropriate plans of care while adhering to regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions and assess patient progress.
• Modify services and treatments in relation to patient evaluations and outcomes, and provide consultations to patients and their families.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
• Document services and treatment minutes accurately in the electronic documentation system, maintaining compliance with all regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Participate in required meetings and training programs, and supervise CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists as necessary.

Compliance / Notes:

• Adherence to ASHA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Active ASHA and State Licensure required.
