Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 Year License: Valid compact or state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: 1 Year of Nursing Experience Ability to Float to Different Units as Needed Required to Work Weekdays, Some Weekends, and Rotating Holidays Call Required Description: This position involves providing care for adult patients in a step-down unit. The nurse will manage care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cardiac conditions. Candidates should have experience with telemetry and care of ventilated patients. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments as prescribed. The nurse will be expected to monitor and interpret vital signs and lab results. Support from interdisciplinary teams such as physical therapy and social services is available. Charting is done using Epic, and familiarity with this system is required. The role may involve managing specialized equipment and procedures. The nurse will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Weekend shifts are mandatory, with a total of 4 shifts required every 4 weeks. Candidates must adhere to strict compliance and credentialing requirements.
