Marketing Assistant

EL Strategic is looking for a creative, organized, and highly capable Marketing & Client Services Assistant to support our growing portfolio of clients. This is not a behind-the-scenes administrative marketing position. This person will work directly with clients, help manage accounts and projects, create content, develop graphics and short-form video, and support the day-to-day execution of marketing strategies across multiple brands. Our clients span nonprofits, small businesses, professional services, community organizations, events, hospitality, government contracting, wellness, and other industries. That means the work changes every day—and the right person needs to be comfortable changing gears with it. We are looking for someone who can understand a brand, learn its voice, take direction, and then run with it. What You’ll Do Client & Account Management Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients Build strong, professional relationships with clients and understand their individual brands, audiences, goals, and priorities Participate in client meetings and help turn conversations into actionable marketing deliverables Manage projects, deadlines, approvals, content needs, and follow-ups Keep multiple client accounts moving simultaneously Communicate clearly and professionally with clients without requiring constant oversight Identify upcoming needs, missing assets, deadlines, and opportunities before they become problems Social Media & Content Create and manage social media content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others as appropriate Understand how content should change based on the platform, audience, and client Develop content calendars and help execute broader marketing strategies Write and edit social copy while maintaining each client’s established voice Schedule, publish, and manage content Stay current on social media trends, platform changes, content formats, and best practices Understand the difference between creating content that simply looks good and content that supports a marketing objective Graphic Design & Creative This is a heavy creative role. The Marketing & Client Services Assistant will regularly create: Email graphics Branded campaign assets Reels and short-form video Other client-facing creative as needed Strong visual judgment is essential. You should understand typography, hierarchy, composition, branding, image selection, and how to create professional work without relying exclusively on templates. Proficiency with Canva is required, and experience with Adobe Creative Suite—particularly Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus but not required. Reels & Short-Form Video Conceptualize, create, and edit Reels and other short-form video Turn raw client footage into polished branded content Capture content when needed Edit for pacing, music, text, transitions, and platform-specific formats Understand current short-form video trends without making every brand look or sound the same Be comfortable appearing on-site with clients to capture usable photo and video content What We’re Looking For The right person is both creative and operational and looking to walk side by side with our client brand. You can make something look great, but you can also manage the deadline, communicate with the client, get the approval, make the revision, and make sure it actually gets published. You should be: Highly proficient in social media marketing A strong graphic designer with a portfolio of work Comfortable creating and editing Reels and short-form video Comfortable working directly with clients Extremely organized and deadline-driven Able to manage multiple brands and projects simultaneously Detail-oriented, especially when it comes to brand standards, names, dates, links, spelling, and client-specific requirements Comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions Able to work independently once expectations are established Resourceful enough to figure things out instead of waiting for step-by-step instructions Interested in marketing strategy—not just content production Required Experience & Skills Graphic design experience Short-form video/Reels creation and editing Strong written communication skills Client-facing or account-management experience Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines Working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Meta Business Suite, and social scheduling tools Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, email marketing platforms, website content management, event marketing, photography, and/or project management platforms is a plus but not required.
