Entry Level Estimator (Pompano Beach, FL)

Craft Construction in Pompano Beach, FL is currently seeking experienced and entry level estimators to assist in the planning, organizing and distribution of construction projects during budget, bidding and development of various projects in different locations throughout Florida. Salary commensurate with experience and great benefits included.

Responsibilities:

• Produce trade scope of work for subcontract.
• Review bid requirements.
• Solicits and maintains communication with contractors and vendors.
• Solicits and includes value-engineering ideas on bids when required.
• Reviews subcontractor proposals to ensure proper coverage from subcontractors and vendors on bid day.
• Shows creativity and resourcefulness to obtain competitive pricing from subcontractors.
• Review project documents and drawings to produce requests for information from architects, project managers and engineers when necessary.
• Attends project site pre-bid meetings and site tours as needed and necessary.
• Assist the project management team in soliciting and comparatively analyzing subcontractor and vendor pricing input when required.
• Performs accurate, thorough and timely quantity takeoffs using company format, detail and coding for all project documents.
• Proficient in all computer software programs used in pre-construction including but limited to Procore, Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, Plan Swift, and Smart Bid.
• Must have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

• Microsoft Office Suite software proficiency including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Notes, and OneDrive at minimum.
• Software familiarity (Procore, Plan Swift, OnScreen Takeoff, Smart Bid, Bluebeam).
• Must be able to read construction drawings for all disciplines.
• Must possess great interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Onsite construction experience preferred.
• Must have reliable means of transportation to the main office 5 days a week.
