Furnace OperatorLocation: Reading, PARate: $25-32Shifts Available: 2nd, 3rd availableJob DutiesOperate and monitor furnace equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety protocolsLoad and unload materials into the furnace using appropriate tools and equipmentSet and adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, and other variablesMonitor gauges, meters, and indicators to ensure proper operation of the furnacePerform routine maintenance tasks on furnace equipment as neededTroubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions that may arise during operationFollow standard operating procedures and work instructions to maintain product quality and consistencyCollaborate with team members to optimize furnace performance and productivityJob RequirementsPrevious experience as a Furnace Operator or in a similar role is preferredProficient in the use of hand tools and equipment related to furnace operationKnowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is a plusFamiliarity with tooling used in furnace operations, such as lathes and electrical discharge machining (EDM)Ability to operate a crane for material handling purposesStrong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspectionsBasic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensionsExperience with press brake machines is beneficial but not required
