CNC Setup MachinistAre you an experienced CNC Setup Machinist who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and keeping production running efficiently?We're seeking a skilled CNC professional to join a precision manufacturing team where you'll play a key role in machine setup, production support, continuous improvement, and mentoring others on the shop floor.This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in producing quality parts while helping improve manufacturing performance.What You'll DoSet up and operate CNC machining centers for production.Verify setups and maintain maximum machine utilization.Troubleshoot machining issues and minimize downtime.Read blueprints and work from engineering drawings and specifications.Use precision measuring equipment to verify part quality.Manage tooling, fixtures, and setup documentation.Support machine maintenance and resolve machine alarms when needed.Partner with Engineering, Programming, Quality, and Production to improve manufacturing processes.Identify opportunities to improve cycle times, tooling performance, and repeatability.Train and support machine operators on setup procedures and best practices.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.What We're Looking ForTwo or more years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment.Technical education in CNC machining or equivalent hands-on experience.Strong blueprint reading skills.Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.Working knowledge of tooling, fixtures, cutting tools, and workholding.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.Good computer and documentation skills.Excellent communication and teamwork.Preferred QualificationsExperience with GD&T.Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Previous experience training operators or mentoring other machinists.Why Consider This OpportunityStable full-time position.Modern precision manufacturing environment.Variety of setup and troubleshooting work.Opportunity to improve manufacturing processes and make an immediate impact.Collaborative team focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.If you're an experienced CNC Setup Machinist looking for a role where your technical skills are valued and your ideas help improve production, we'd like to hear from you.
