Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad. Saber Power Services seeks an experienced and driven Project Manager to oversee and deliver high voltage EPC projects (69kV to 500kV and above) from initiation through commissioning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high voltage transmission and substation projects, a deep understanding of EPC delivery models, and proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment. Duties And Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of high voltage EPC projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Manage the entire project lifecycle including design coordination, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning. Prepare and maintain project schedules (Primavera P6 or MS Project) and cost control reports. Conduct regular site visits and progress reviews to monitor construction quality and safety compliance. Coordinate and lead regular project meetings and progress reporting (internal and external). Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and utility standards (NESC, NEC, IEEE, OSHA, FERC, NERC, etc.). Oversee contract administration, change management, and claims resolution. Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance, and client satisfaction. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3+ years managing high voltage EPC projects. PMP certification is a strong advantage. Strong understanding of substation and transmission line design, protection & control, and grid interconnection. Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Procore). Familiarity with utility and ISO processes (e.g., interconnection, permitting, energization). Understanding construction methodologies, safety practices, and QA/QC procedures. Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities. Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, and construction. Safety is a Core Value with our organization.
