Role Description This full-time Business Development Manager role is a hybrid position based in Alvin, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key customers, and promote JCL Energy’s transformer solutions to meet client needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting, conducting sales calls and meetings, preparing proposals and quotes, coordinating with internal technical and operations teams, and managing the sales pipeline. The role also involves tracking market trends, participating in industry events, and providing feedback to leadership on customer needs and competitive insights. The Business Development Manager will be accountable for achieving revenue targets, maintaining accurate CRM records, and ensuring a positive, solutions-oriented customer experience. Qualifications Strong business development and sales skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, and account management. Experience with customer relationship building, negotiation, and closing deals in B2B or industrial markets. Understanding of electrical equipment or transformer industry concepts, or the ability to quickly learn technical product details. Proficiency with CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic data analysis for pipeline and performance tracking. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities effective Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Prior experience in energy, utilities, or industrial equipment sales is preferred but not required.
