Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary Facility: Dayton Children’s – Main Campus. Position: Polysomnographic Technologist/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP). Schedule: Full time, Night shift 6:30 p.m. – 7 a.m., 7 nights per week. Hours: 36 per week. Sign-on bonus available. Responsibilities Conduct sleep studies, including polysomnography, extended EEG, MSLT/MWT. Perform respiratory therapies: application and titration of oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator, airway management, trach capping. Collect and analyze blood gas samples. Assess patients, determine individual needs, and provide patient/family education. Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment; implement new test modalities. Assist with supply inventory management. Mentor and orient new sleep technicians; supervise their work as needed. Provide coverage as required. Qualifications Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Active Ohio Respiratory Care Board license (RCP). Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field. Experience with sleep study scoring according to AASM standards. Strong patient assessment and communication skills.
