Job Summary

Facility: Dayton Children’s – Main Campus. Position: Polysomnographic Technologist/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP). Schedule: Full time, Night shift 6:30 p.m. – 7 a.m., 7 nights per week. Hours: 36 per week. Sign-on bonus available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sleep studies, including polysomnography, extended EEG, MSLT/MWT.
• Perform respiratory therapies: application and titration of oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator, airway management, trach capping.
• Collect and analyze blood gas samples.
• Assess patients, determine individual needs, and provide patient/family education.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment; implement new test modalities.
• Assist with supply inventory management.
• Mentor and orient new sleep technicians; supervise their work as needed.
• Provide coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Active Ohio Respiratory Care Board license (RCP).
• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Experience with sleep study scoring according to AASM standards.
• Strong patient assessment and communication skills.
