Step into an engaging contract role tailored for a dedicated Special Education Teacher with a passion for supporting elementary learners. This opportunity is based in a vibrant educational setting, working collaboratively as a 5th grade co-teacher in a special education classroom. The assignment spans from early October 2026 through June 2027, with a weekly full-time schedule of 35 to 37 hours.

In this role, you'll serve a caseload of six elementary students—with the possibility of accommodating one additional student—delivering individualized support and working alongside general education teachers to ensure student success in an inclusive classroom environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active PEL with LBS1 endorsement required
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the elementary level
• Proven ability to adapt instruction and lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and encouraging classroom community

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-teach in a 5th grade classroom, developing and implementing effective instructional strategies for students with special needs
• Participate in collaborative planning with general educators and related service providers
• Manage and document student IEP goals, progress, and behaviors
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines regarding special education services
