Another Broken Egg Cafe in Brandywine, MD is looking for a passionate and driven Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced brunch and breakfast environment and love inspiring a team to deliver exceptional food, this is the opportunity for you. Join a beloved cafe concept that's redefining the morning dining experience! Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations including food prep, line cooking, and plating to ensure quality and consistency
- Hire, train, schedule, and manage kitchen staff to maintain a high-performing BOH team
- Monitor food costs, control waste, and manage inventory ordering and receiving
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code standards
- Collaborate with management to develop and execute seasonal menu items and specials
- Maintain kitchen equipment and coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
- Drive ticket times and kitchen efficiency during high-volume breakfast and brunch service
- 2+ years of kitchen management or sous chef experience, preferably in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse kitchen team
- Experience with food cost management, inventory control, and ordering
- Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a hands-on leadership style
- Passion for breakfast/brunch cuisine and delivering a consistent, high-quality guest experience
