Registered Nurse - Same Day Surgery

Overview Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse to join our Same Day Surgery team. Sign‑on bonus up to $7,500 for qualifying candidates. Location Harrisonburg, Virginia Work Shift Rotating Scheduled Shift Requirements Four 9‑hour scheduled shifts per week. Shift options: 0530‑1500, 0600‑1530, 0700‑1630, 0830‑1800, and 1000‑1930. Education Associate or Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing (Required) Certification / Licensure Registered Nurse (Required) Experience Previous acute care experience (preferred). Duties / Responsibilities The RN is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care‑ teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice / nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
