Job Description

As a Security Officer Bicycle Patrol Specialist in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas by bike, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support students, faculty, staff, and visitors through exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, academic spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures, reporting unauthorized access concerns and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrol observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
