Job Description: The Sewing Machine Operator uses different industrial sewing machines, working standing, to close openings where synthetic or natural fillings are inserted in pillowcases, quilts, and other related products. The job requires precision, speed, and a strong focus on quality to meet the company and customer expectations. This position also requires teamwork, good communication, good judgment, focus on safety, efficiency in production, and commitment to product quality.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure product quality meets required specifications.
• Comply with all safety standards and maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform general support tasks and other assignments as needed.
• After initial training, perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Support other tasks or departments when necessary to meet production requirements.

Sewing Functions

• Place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on the machine, insert bobbin and correctly pass the thread through guides and components.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance, including changing needles, cleaning, and lubricating machines, as well as solving basic problems.
• Operate industrial sewing machines to join, reinforce, or decorate materials and products.
• Guide pillowcases, quilts, and other pieces under the needle and presser foot to sew them correctly.
• Sew labels, zippers, or other materials requested by the client.
• Verify that the finished product meets specifications, including: Correct quantity of stitches. Absence of frayed threads or wrinkles. Straight and complete stitches. Proper continuation of existing stitches. Correct cutting of excess threads.

Physical Demands
